Meet the animals
We have over 30 different reptiles, we have no favourites and love the fact that they each have their own personality.
Take a look below to see which ones you could meet

Michael
Meet Michael! He is our first Kane Toad. He came to us as a re-home in 2024 and has settled in really quickly. He is nocturnal so we don't get a chance to see him exploring his enclosure very much. We're looking forward to getting to know his personality more
(Available for encounters)
May
May on the other hand is a handful. She is very defensive and tries to eat everything (including her water) She is also approx. 7 years old and came to us in July 2022 after being rescued.
(Only available for training)
Thanos
Thanos is our other Boa constrictor. He is about 5 years old and came to us after he was dumped outside a shop. He has a serious attitude and is always in a bad mood. He loves staying in his water bowl and will always eat at meal times.
(Only available for training)

Blue
Blue is our Green Iguana. She is about 8 years old and found her forever home in August 2022.
Her previous owner couldn't look after her so we took her in to give her a wonderful new life with us.
When she first came to stay she was an extremely defensive girl (as most Iguanas can be).
She was in a very small enclosure for her size while a new one was being built. She did not like to be touched, handled or it seemed even looked at. She would strike at the glass door with her very powerful tail and sometimes headbutt it too.
It took a long time to gain her trust and to trust her ourselves but today she is a very happy girl.
These days she enjoys lounging on her log above her very own swimming pool and absolutely loves eating her dinner - especially if it contains her favourite banana dessert.
She loves getting out and looking through the living room window, adores being stroked on the top of her head and enjoys having her picture taken in a selfie.
(Family pet only)

Buttercup
Buttercup is our Albino Boa and came to us in June 2023 after the previous owners didn't want her anymore. A lot of people get snakes and don't realise just how big they become and how much room and attention they require.
Buttercup is approx. 7 years and is a Boa Constrictor measuring 8ft long.
She has the most friendly and docile attitude. She loves to come out and slither around on the floor. She is enjoying life in one of our massive handmade enclosures. She does like to curl up in a ball and chill out during the day and becomes active during the night.
(Available for encounters)

Gaffa
Meet Gaffa! He is our Bull snake. He came to us after we rescued him on June 2023, we think he was about a year old when we got him.
He was rescued after he got himself caught up in gaffa tape. Once he went into shed a couple of times, the sticky mess was in the distant past and his skin was good as new again.
He has a vocal personality :) As soon as you open his viv he becomes quite defensive and hissy, but once he's out, he becomes a perfectly sweet little boy.
(Available for encounters & training)
Dave
Dave is our Male Horsefield tortoise. He is about 11 years old and is such a character. He came to us after we re-homed him in January 2020 after his owner couldn't have him anymore. He was known to be a bit of a bully to his siblings.
Every day he thinks he can try and escape his viv and he is the fastest Tortoise I've ever seen. He will walk in one direction and when you pick him up and turn him around, he will go straight back to where he came from.
(Available for encounters - depending on location)
Betty
Betty was new to us when she came in March 2024. Her previous owner couldn't look after her anymore and so she found a new home with us.
She took some time to settle in, but now spends her days munching on salad and walking around her 6ft enclosure.
She is a very sweet lady.
(Available for encounters - depending on location)

Lizzie
Lizzie came to us in May of 2024. She is a beautiful girl and aging well at about 10 years old. She is obsessed with food and could eat all day.
She loves to get out and go for walks.
(Available for encounters)

Meet our 18-month-old baby boy. He came to us as a tiny baby and has grown up into a wonderful bearded dragon.
He loves eating locusts, salad and chilling out watching the world go by.
(Available for encounters)
Penny
Penny is our sweet girl and seems to be a favourite with a lot of people. We rescued back in June 2023. When we first took her in there was a possibility that she was gravid - but this turned out to be false. She has settled in very well here, and is a very inquisitive and friendly Royal python. Her colours also make her stunning.
(Available for encounters)

Pearl
While working away from home we stopped off into our friends at the NCRW. We went to have a look around and came across this beauty, Pearl. We don't know her story but she seems to be a very sweet girl so far. She is a Burmese Python and about 1-2 years old.

Vinnie
Vinnie is our Banana Royal Python. He is nearly 3 years old. He is a very happy little boy who gets very excited when it is dinner time.

Mavis
Mavis is Mambo's Sister. They came together in 2023.
She loves climbing and you will often find them at the top of their viv.

Mambo
Mambo & Mavis are siblings and came to us in 2023. They are both Royal Pythons and look adorable when they are together.

Tony
Our Royal Python - Tony came to us as a baby back in April 2016. He has been with us the longest. Although he generally likes to keep himself to himself he is a very calm and lovely boy who loves his cuddles.
(Available for encounters)

Pepper
Pepper came to us in August 2020. She is one of our Royal Pythons and has an amazing personality. She is very sociable and loves being held. She loves all the attention and we are currently awaiting the hatching of her egg which she layed in July 2024.
(Updates on this can be found on our fb page)
The eggs she layed are the result or her and Tony.
(Available for encounters)

Phillis
This is Phillis! She is our false water cobra and still a baby at 8-9 months measuring approximately 18inchs long. We took her in as a baby in the middle of 2024 and has a wonderful personality on her. She is still very young so we are still getting to know her and can't wait for her personality to really shine through.
(Only available for training)

Waffle
Waffle is one of our biggest Albino Burmese Python and measures in at about 10ft long. We took her in after the RSPCA rescued her from somewhere where she couldn't be cared for anymore. She is the friendliest girl and loves to get out and about and explore. She is about 5 years old so she has plenty of time to show off her amazing colours.
(Available for encounters)

Hugo
Hugo is our other Burmese python. At about 5 years old, he is also a very friendly animal. Sometimes he acts like a grumpy teenager when he just wants to be left alone but most of the time he loves to come out and explore the surroundings like the others. Hugo came to us in September 2023 after someone abandoned him outside a shop and left him in the cold in a tiny 3ft vivarium. He settled in very well and is enjoying all the space he has in his new home.
(Available for encounters)

Nugget
Nugget is our new baby Tenrec. They are mammals originally from Madagascar.
Nugget is our beautiful baby girl (or boy) When they are very young you cannot accurately determine if they are male or female - this can be done when they are a bit older.
She is very similar looking to a hedgehog, but mostly similar to the moles instead. The difference between the two is that the tenrec are a lot smaller. They also have spines that cover most of their body but are a lot less prominent than hedgehogs.
(Available for encounters)

Larry
Larry has a very interesting story behind him. We got a message to see if we could collect a toad that had arrived in someone's baggage having come all the way back from Thailand. Larry is a Asian Java Toad and seems to be settling in quite nicely.
(Available for encounters)

Kermit
Kermit came to us after a panicked phone call. He was found in some plant products which had been imported from Germany. We were asked to come and rescue him before they put him in a blender :(
He has settled in nicely now and is very vocale, until you put the camera on him - then he's quiet.
Check out the rescue video here: https://youtu.be/UlnhHTQsYQ0
(Available for encounters)

Chips
Chips is our new baby Tenrec at only a few months old. They are mammals originally from Madagascar.
When they are very young you cannot accurately determine if they are male or female - this can be done when they are a bit older - for now I'm going with a boy.
He is very similar looking to a hedgehog, but mostly similar to the moles instead. The difference between the two is that the tenrec are a lot smaller. They also have spines that cover most of their body but are a lot less prominent than hedgehogs.

Custard
Custard is our latest arrival to the encounter world and is an incredible 14ft Burmese Python. She was rescued after being handed to a reptile show very underweight. She also had a respiratory infection which needed seeing to by a vet and a course of antibiotic injections which needed to be given every 3 days.
After the all clear from her vet she has finally been able to make her first public experience. She had an absolute blast and enjoyed every minute of being cuddled and stroked.
(Available for encounters)

Medusa
This big girl came to us though heartbreaking circumstances. Unfortunately on Christmas Eve 2024 her owner sadly passed away. We took her in and placed her on a diet to loose some of that weight. She has quite the personality on her (You can see this in our Youtube video on our channel) https://youtu.be/48b9zXtevxs
(Available for training only)

Herbert
One day we had a message from someone locally to ask if we could possibly take this lovely, friendly boy in. He was sold to a family and referred to as a "baby royal python" As the years went by he was loved and cared for and part of the family, but they noticed he kept growing and growing! This was not the size a royal python should have been and learnt that he was in fact a Burmese Python and could grow up to 15ft long.
Herbert comes out on regular encounters with us and is definitely a favourite with people. He has an amazing personality and is super friendly.

Reticulated Pythons found dumped in the Woods

Well how do I even start this story?
A lot of people will have heard about the Reticulated Pythons that were found dumped in the woods in Lincolnshire and we now have them safely tucked up in our care.

It all started with a phone call from our friends at Exotics. They had picked up a rather large python but unfortunately didn't have the room to look after it and asked us to come and take her. When we arrived there we were shocked to see how big she actually was. We already have a 14ft burmese python but this one made her look like a baby. While driving back home we received another phone call to say another large snake had been found near the same area. Before we had even got home we turned around and went to collect this one straight from the "dump" site. Both the snakes were in surprisingly good condition and had obviously been looked after at some point.
We bought them home and the larger snake was measuring at 18ft and weighing in at 55kg! The purple phase snake was 12ft long and weighing 12kg.
Both were covered in mites and needed a good bath which made them feel so much better - they were also dehydrated and had a great slurp.......
The following day after being in contact with the local community and the Police we received another phone call to say that another snake had been found and could we come and pick this one up, which of course we did - however we ended up picking 2 more up (all a similar length and weight to the purple phase snake from the previous day)
We were convinced at that point that there were no more snakes wandering around in the woods, but how wrong were we........... Over a week after the 1st snake was found we had a phone call from the police to say a large snake had been found on the M180 and they needed to closed the road to secure the reptile. We made our way straight away as amazing members of the public had safely secured "Dave" until we arrived on the scene. "Dave" as a little boy who helped rescue him had nicknamed him, was found to be very dehydrated and covered in mites but on the surface looked in quite good health. He was around the 12ft mark and weighed approx 15kg, he was given a well needed bath and found to have a lot of maggots on his body along with the mites which were also treated. The following morning when checking on him we noticed his breathing was very bad and a trip to the vet was needed. We have an amazing vet - Clara from Abbey Vets in Grimsby who saw her straight away and she was given some strong antibiotics to fight this infection. She has been having injections every 3 days and will be getting a further check up soon to see if this has helped at all.
At the moment the Police are still investigating and if anyone has any information they can contact the Humberside Police Rural Task Force RTF@humberside.police.uk or call 101 quoting investigation reference 25000081788
*** We would like to say a massive thank you to each and every one of you who had a part to play in the rescue
of these amazing snakes. There were so many amazing, caring and loving members of the community and Police force who were
instrumental in making sure no harm came to these reptiles and we honestly can't thank you enough ***
We currently do have a https://gofund.me/7ad2c534 if you would like to make a donation which goes towards any medical bills and new enclosures for them
