Educational Visits

RSG Reptiles are able to offer a wide variety of different animal encounters for schools, academies, colleges, universities and other services for young people. Packages can be developed to suit an educational need. We are able to allow the pupils to view and get some hands on interaction with exotic animals from around the world, which allows for a deeper understanding and perspective on the subject being taught.

A valid DBS, Insurance certificate & Animal activities License will be made available for inspection upon entering any school or similar establishment. Specific risk assessments will also be carried out prior to any visit.

Services Offered

We are able to offer the following services:

Classroom Based visits, supporting a variety of subjects including Art, Science, Geography etc.
Individual sessions can cater for children with learning difficulties, Autism or behavioural problems.
Meet & Greets with animal handling and interaction for any occasion.
Open evenings & special events.
School fairs. We are able to do full animal display stall or walk-abouts with a selection of animals.

Price Guide

Educational packages will be charged at £165 for a 1 hour talk in 1 location of the venue. This will include the hands on interaction with a variety of animals along with an educational talk included.

Full or half day packages or block bookings of repeated visits will be charged at a discounted price.

The number of animals supplied will depend on the size and duration of the group.

All packages 1.5 hours away from the LN13 postcode are subject to an additional fee to cover the travel costs.

Please bear in mind that the animals may need a little time to settle in following a longer journey. Any animal may be withdrawn from any event if this is considered in the animals best interest.

All prices are a guide only and every package discussed will be individual to meet you specific requirements wherever possible, and charge accordingly.

NOTE

Parking as near to the school entrance & ideally the room as possible is necessary for the safe unloading of all the animals. Please ensure that this is possible as no refund will be given is we are unable to unload the animals safely.
