Frequently Asked Questions
Many of the questions you may have are answered below, but please get in touch if you want to ask anything else.
We are always happy to help!

Are there any age restrictions?
There is no minimum age with our animals. We do however judge each event based on the ages of the participants as some of our animals are physically too large for smaller children to handle, but we can put them on the floor for them to interact with.
Which animals do you bring?
We love seeing people interact with our animals and will try to bring as many different species. We check all of our animals at the start of the day and if we feel the animals is unable to attend due to health reasons we will make the decision to leave them at home. The welfare of our animals is our top priority and we wouldn't want any of them or a member of public to be put at risk.
How do I book?
We will send you a booking form to fill out asking for certain details. After we have received this and confirmed the price we require a 50% non refundable deposit to secure the date. The remaining balance will be due on the day of the event. We accept cash, card and bank transfer.
Are there any health & safety risks?
We do everything possible to make sure that our animals are clean and hygienic enough to handle. We encourage washing of hands at regular intervals and always carry hand sanitiser with us. As well as doing these events, they are our pets so we pride ourselves in looking after them.
Working with any animal always carries a small risk, we do our best to ensure that no harm comes to them or any members of the public.
Are you insured?
Every company must be licenced to display their animals no questions asked, if they are not licenced but insured this it still not okay.
We are licenced with East Lindsey District Council (AWL0178), we are also fully insured with £5m public liability, DBS checked, First Aid trained and carry our our own risk assessments. All of these documents can be viewed prior to your event plus we always carry hard copies with us on the day should anyone wish to see these. We also carry out hourly temperature checks on the animals throughout the event.
What area do you cover?
We are based near Alford, Lincolnshire. We can travel to most areas depending on the length of time the animals are away from their permanent enclosure. Our transport is heated for the animals which means we are able to travel a bit further than most without the animals getting cold. If we travel for more than 1.5hrs there will be a small transport cost to the client.
What events do you cater for?
We are fortunate to be able to provide a variety of different events including parties, educational, weddings, film & TV work, photography and many more. For a full list of different events please click here
We are also able to offer holiday boarding and animal rescues.
Is photography allowed?
Of course! We understand how special these occasions can be and this is not something we would want you to forget. We encourage everyone to keep flashing to a minimum as some of the animals may feel startled. Any photos taken by RSG Reptiles will only be done with the permission of the person and consent forms may be required to allow us to publish them on our website and social media pages.
